DMCA Policy

At BBC News Marathi Jobs (https://jobs.bbcnewsmarathi.in), we respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (DMCA), we will respond promptly to claims of copyright infringement committed using our website.

1. Copyright Infringement Notification

If you are a copyright owner or an agent thereof and believe that any content hosted on our website infringes upon your copyrights, you may submit a notification pursuant to the DMCA by providing our Designated Copyright Agent with the following information in writing:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright interest
  • A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed upon
  • The exact URL(s) or location(s) on our website where the allegedly infringing material is located
  • Your address, telephone number, and email address
  • A statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that the above information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf

2. DMCA Counter-Notification

If you believe that your content that was removed (or to which access was disabled) is not infringing, or that you have the authorization from the copyright owner, the copyright owner’s agent, or pursuant to the law, to post and use the content in question, you may send a counter-notification containing the following information to our Copyright Agent:

  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • Identification of the content that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the content appeared before it was removed or disabled
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the content was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or a misidentification of the content
  • Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district, or if your address is outside of India, the jurisdiction of the courts of India, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided notification of the alleged infringement

3. Response to DMCA Notices

Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notification, BBC News Marathi Jobs will:

  • Promptly review the reported content
  • Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content if the notification meets the DMCA requirements
  • Notify the content poster of the removal
  • Forward the DMCA notice to the content poster if required

Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be subject to liability.

4. Repeat Infringers

It is our policy to terminate the accounts of users who are deemed to be repeat infringers of copyrights. We also reserve the right to restrict access to our website to any person who uses our website in a way that violates applicable intellectual property laws.

5. Advertising Content

Our website displays advertisements through Google AdSense and Google Ad Manager. We are not responsible for copyright infringement in advertisements served by these third-party services. For copyright claims related to advertising content, please contact Google directly.
